Here is our simple Do-It-Yourself Backup Audit.  There are just a few steps you need to take to be sure you are backed up. Most companies don't Plan to Fail - They simply Fail to Plan!

You'll be glad to know that there are plenty of free backup tools available.  Just let us know how we can help.

  • Comodo offers free backup software - including free PC hard disk imaging software
  • Picasa, SnapFish and Photobucket offer free on-line storage for tens of thousands of photos.
  • SugarSync - up to 5GB Free on-line storage and synchronizes your data across multiple computers
  • ZumoDrive, DropBox and Mozy Home have free 2GB on-line backup programs; Carbonite offers unlimited backup for $59/yr.
  • SpiderOak is another service that offers up to 2GB of free on-line backup and includes file sharing
  • Microsoft Backup Tool for Outlook - The missing backup option for Outlook.  You *must* have this if you use Outlook!

These services offer PC to PC synchronization so you can keep your stuff on more than one PC at a time

  • BackBlaze offers the nearly free $5/mo unlimited on-line backup solution.
  • LiveDrive - $7.95/PC unlimited storage.  Store up to 2TB on their Business Briefcase plan for $15.95/mo
  • Microsoft Live Mesh - includes remote access to your PCs but requires Vista or Windows 7
  • Acronis On-Line Disaster Recovery for PC is only $49.99/yr and includes up to 250GB of storage.

You can create your own backup solution using CrashPlan - just supply the PCs and bandwidth.

Norton provides an on-line backup solution for $49.95/yr for up to 25GB of storage - but some verson of their AntiVirus Suite include the on-line backup feature for free after rebates.

GBridge is a clever backup and file sharing solution that uses the enormous Google network to protect your files.
